The International Conference on Water Pollution and Treatment (ICWPT) is a well-established annual forum that brings together researchers, engineers, and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to share ideas, designs, and experiments in the field of water pollution control and treatment. The 2027 edition, the 12th in the series, will be held from July 10 to 12, 2027 in Tokyo, Japan, supported by the Shibaura Institute of Technology. The conference has a strong history of convening in diverse international locations, with previous editions held in Malaysia, Rome, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Nagasaki, Japan. It serves as a premier platform for presenting new advances in theoretical, experimental, and applied water pollution and treatment research, attracting around 500 participants and featuring keynote speeches, oral and poster presentations, and scientific discussions.
Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit full papers/abstracts(.pdf) via Submission system.
The conference is soliciting state-of-the-art research papers in different scientific fileds related to Water Pollution and Treatment.

International Journal of Environmental Science and Development (IJESD, ISSN:2010-0264) - All submitted papers will be reviewed by both conference technical committees and IJESD editorial board, and accepted papers will be published into regular issues of IJESD. The journal is now indexed by Scopus, Chemical Abstracts Services (CAS), CABI, Ulrich Periodicals Directory, Electronic Journals Library, Crossref, ProQuest.
Presentation only - For those a few authors who don't expect any publication of your papers, you're welcome to submit the abstracts to us and present your papers at the conference without publishing.
The first day is all about registration, participants are supposed to sign in at the conference venue and collect all the conference materiails at the registration counter on this day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, the registration is still open on the 2nd day of the conference within the same time.
The conference chair will be hosting a opening ceremony around 9:00 am in the morning , and all the participants are supposed to be there, then the keynote speakers will deliver their spectacular speeches and share their cutting-edge research fruits with the participants. During the intermission, there will be a photo session for all the participants to take a group photo.
Participants' presentations are
divided into different sessions
based on the conference topics,
participants should find the right
session room and be there at least 3
minutes earier to copy his ppt/pdf
presentation into the laptop and get
ready. Then the session chair will
start the session on time, and give
a grade to each presentation, which
should be within 15 minutes,
including Q&A.
After all the sessions are finished,
the conference chair and the
organiser will be hosting a closing
ceremony at dinner time around 6:30
pm, where the best papers will be
announced, and the certificates will
be awarded. However, due to some
participants' early departure, best
presetation may be selected and
announced right after each session
ends.
