General Information

2016 International Conference on Water Pollution and Treatment (ICWPT 2016) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during 25-27 July, 2016. ICWPT 2016 is sponsored by the Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES). It is one of the leading international conferences for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Water Pollution and Treatment. It also serves to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving Water Pollution and Treatment and related techniques.


All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability.


All accepted papers of ICWPT 2016 will be published in the Volume of Journal (IPCBEE, ISSN: 2010-4618), and all papers will be included in the Engineering & Technology Digital Library, and indexed by Ei Geobase (Elsevier), Chemical Abstracts Services (CAS), CABI, CNKI, EBSCO, WorldCat, Google Scholar, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, Crossref.

Good News! Springer has provided a special issue for excellent papers submitted in ICWPT 2016. After the peer review of journal committees, the excellent papers can be published in Journal-Water Conservation Science and Engineering (ISSN: 2364-5687) under Springer.


One Best Oral Presentation will be selected from each oral session. The Certificate for Best Oral Presentation will be awarded at the end of each session on July 26, 2016.

Parts of the Conference
Arrival&Registration (1st Day morning)

The first day is all about registration. Participants are supposed to sign in at the conference venue and collect all the conference materiails at the registration counter on this day.

However, the registration is still open on the 2nd day of the conference within the same time.

Openning Remarks&Keynote Speech (2nd Day morning)

The conference chair will host an opening ceremony in the morning, and all the participants are supposed to be there, then the keynote speakers will deliver their spectacular speeches and share their cutting-edge research fruits with the participants. During the intermission, there will be a photo session for all the participants to take a group photo.

Author Presentation in Sessions (2nd Day)

Participants' presentations are divided into different sessions based on the conference topics. Participants should find the right session room and be there at least 3 minutes earier to copy his ppt/pdf presentation into the laptop and get ready. Then the session chair will start the session on time, and give a grade to each presentation, which should be within 15 minutes, including Q&A.

Closing Ceremony & Banquet (2nd Day evening)

After all the sessions are finished, the conference chair and the organiser will host a closing ceremony.

In the third day, the organizer will arrange an one day tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur is the national capital and most populous global city in Malaysia. The city covers an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 1.6 million as of 2010. Greater Kuala Lumpur, covering similar area as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.5 million people as of 2012. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in terms of population and economy.
Since the 1990s, Kuala Lumpur has hosted many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One Grand Prix. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia's futuristic development. Kuala Lumpur is the sixth most visited city in the world, with 8.9 million tourist per year. The major tourist destinations in Kuala Lumpur include the Merdeka Square, the House of Parliament, the Petaling Street, the National Palace, the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the National Museum, Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, the National Monument and so on.
